Takatena - About us

From Local Pyrolysis to National Impact

Tackling Kenya's waste management crisis, we will utilize advanced waste-to-energy technology in our pyrolysis plants. Our first plant in Nanyuki, set for 2024, initiates a countrywide plan for local-scale facilities. This strategy reduces logistics, promotes local by-product sales, and fosters collaboration with town authorities. By 2035, we aim to process 10% of Kenya's waste, supply 3-4% of its electricity, and return over 240,000 tons of biochar to the soil annually, boosting environmental sustainability.
